I am so stressed at the moment - I feel really run down like I need a pick me up but I just don't know how to drag myself out of this slump

I am also crazy stressed at the moment. I know you've been talking about starting an exercise regime of some sort, so that's what I suggest! I train in capoeira (a Brazilian martial art), and last night on my way to class I was running things over in my head again and again, only making things worse, feeling really upset. Class took my mind off of it completely for 2 hours, and afterwards I was much more calm and feeling better.

I say go take a kickboxing class or something! Nothing like punching a bag to get rid of some stress.

We sent our papers July 16, and our NOA1 Jul 27, till now NO NOA2 yet, got a touch from immigration asking RFE, and was sent yesterday......hope it will move faster.....the waiting is so hard....

helo rick's baby if u don't mind i just wanna asked what RFE stands for since my fiance was not asked with it yet but he sent our K1 last Aug. '2007, .. .

I'm still waiting too! We sent our application in on July 9th so this wait is killing us. We received an RFE on 11/28 but didn't get the notice in the mail until the 20th of December. We sent it back immediately to them - they have received our informaiton as of December 28th and nothing since. Ho hum....

Just waiting and waiting.

Me too. Petition sent July 27th, NOA1 notice date September 27th with a received date of July 27th. Starting to feel that the NOA1 taking 2 months was a bad omen.

I'm just so lazy though!!! I would like to learn more about Buddhism when I am out there and meditate etc - I love the priciples behind the philosophy but I think I just need a life overhaul to motivate myself to do anything - I just want to move forward and at the moment I just feel like I am stagnating...

I know... that's why you need to do something to take your mind off all this! I mean, I'm guilty of it too. I stress about the same stuff, revolving it around in my brain again and again and again...

Anyhoo, you are getting that life overhaul, you know. In the meantime (which really isn't that long of a time period in the grand scheme of things), try to do things that take your mind off of all this big stuff.

This coming summer I am the Maid of Honor in my friend's very casual wedding. She's just posted her registries. I know what I would like to get her, and would prefer to grab it before someone else does. Is it too early to send it, even though the wedding isn't till July? And she's not having a shower... or at least, I asked her if there was anything she wanted me to plan (we live on separate coasts) and she said all I had to do was show up to the wedding. (I even get to pick my own dress!)

Is there a general etiquette rule to follow with this sort of thing? (ugh, I kind of hate wedding etiquette... but it's not mine, so I figure I have to follow it.)

I'm not big on proper wedding etiquette either but am wondering why you can't just buy the gift now and send it later? Or take it with you when you go for the wedding?

Having a casual wedding like that, she's probably not that big into the etiquette either. It's awesome she's letting you pick your own dress!

Well, b/c it's a big ol' heavy wine cooler, and I'd really rather ship it directly to her than deal with lugging it around! Or paying extra shipping costs later... you know? Just being practical. Maybe I should just buy it early... :/

But yeah, totally awesome with the dress. I actually am going to wear something I already own, so it's all taken care of! And no silly pooffy bright yellow or teal or whatever silliness.
