Aaaaaggghhhh these forms...

If anyone is about...just wanted to ask about DS-156...they ask for place of issuance in regards to your passport...specifically city and county/province...where do you find that info...or is it the place where you lived when you applied for your passport/received your passport?

I looked at the sample form but did not find that helpful...am I just thick?

I THINK I FOUND IT!!! I put in the 11th and it comes up then when you check the tracking info it hass todays date on it!!

Well, we finally have our MNL case number from NVC. It looks like we will probably have an april interview date. finally it feels like we are close to being together.

Hmmm - don't know if we will bother going through JFK if it isn't a guarantee... I know Jeremy is worried I am goign to sit around going stir-crazy but I think I might be swapping US phone numbers with some of my fellow filers and getting a distance phone plan so we can natter on the phone all day about how weird everything is

I too am worried that Scott will sit around stir crazy with nothing to do. This whole topic is making me think we should have him fly through JFK, and then get the big truck and drive it back and forth. Doing it from Canada, it just seems silly to have him fly when we can drive his stuff down here... hmm :/

But then like another poster said (sorry I forgot who after reading 3 pages), you're not realistically losing the whole 3 months due to all the other things going on... so I'm not sure. Well, we have months to think about it.

Once he gets in the country he should not leave again. Unless you get permission. Having him drive back and forth getting his stuff would not be good.

I forgot what the form was but its something like advance parole or something.

I was considering flying through JFK as well so I don't have to sit around doing nothing for all those months, the problem is that all the major Canadian airport have US immigration pre-clearance, so I'm not sure we'd be able to get the stamp at JFK anyway. I assume that you get the stamp in the US customs and immigration area at JFK? So I think Canadians are pretty much screwed as far as temporary EAD goes...

I think it's b/c Scott STILL has our freaking packet 3 and I am going to kill him. Jeraly, you said something about it seemed like Jeremy didn't care b/c he wouldn't make a call... I feel the same way. He's all "I'll get to it when I get to it".
