I'm not having a veil! I looked like something out of a 50s housekeeping mag!!! Peter should get packet 3 soon - NVC received my packet on the 14th too and sent it out the same day!!

I wonder if he should send it in and take it on faith that his military papers will come in.....I told him to call somebody about them. I don't know who he'd call. I need to really just take some matches and some kindling and light a fire under his butt. That should do the trick. Here in Texas...we have cattle prods...he needs to fix this little procrastination problem of his before he moves here. I sure love that man though.

Haha - Jeremy is just as bad - we are just talking about it now - he can't let himself get bogged down with little things when he is thinking about big things so nothing gets done. Whereas I prefer to get the little things out of the way because they are easier to sort and then I don't have to worry about them

I sort of obsess about things until there done. I'm like a tornado. Little and big things get whooshed around until it's completed. Then I can relax completely. Peter was making fun of my I-129F packet all neat and tabulated and labeled and corners all matched up. I told him when he sends paperwork in it had better be just as neat and nice...I think I scared him. Good thing he still wants to marry me...lol.

I keep having to edit stuff....I'm ill..I can't think straight...I'm gonna go lie down! Bye!

One of my friend's said the postman at her fiance's house asked for Rs. 100 in return of Packet 3! He knew if was from the consulate and was trying to make money out of it !!!

Totally me too! I was happy since I was taking care of all the little things obsessing over signatures and a thick petition packet. Now that he has to take care of everything, I can't stop asking questions and obsessing over what papers are needed and what are not, when he is gonna get this done and that done. He finally said, "if it makes you happy, you go ahead and fill out the Packet 3 and have it sent here." Sigh.

Great news Aly. You're really "movin' on up" or actually "movin' on over" very soon. Awesome news on the Packet 3. I am very happy for you.

I was just thinking how hard it is being left behind in this whole process. I know there is still so much more paperwork to compete and it's sad that I'm not doing it together with you guys. I'm feeling quite lonesome tonight. I do hope that I can count on you when my time comes for some much needed help from the experts regarding all this paperwork to come.

Tomorrow is Phil's birthday and an NOA2 would be an awesome birthday present for him. What's really ironic is that our initial adjucation date was October 25th, which is my birthday. Well, since I didn't get it for my birthday, I would love to give it to Phil for his. Positive thoughts.

Funny story to share - today at work a colleage was asking questions of her 8 ball. This is weird. She said, "Is Audrey's NOA2 going to come tomorrow?" and the 8 ball said "my sources say no". Then she asked, "Will she get it by the end of the week?" and the answer was "very doubtful". Then she asked if I would have it by next Monday and the ball said "Don't count on it." By this time, I told her to quit and that it didn't look very good. (Neither does the USCIS at this point - I think the 8 Ball is onto something.) She then asked if I would see the NOA2 by the end of the month and the 8 ball said "As I see it yes." Hallelujah!!!!!!

I guess time will tell.

PS - I have exchanged my fuzzy black chair for something a little more comfortable for the long wait. And it also poses as a Therapy chair....just waiting for the therapist now.

I called NVC to see if the package was sent to Syria yet - made the call on the 18th, I had rcv'd the letter from NVC and been told by my Congressman's office that it would be sent out that week - so I get this real ditzy woman on the phone who tells me that it was sent electronically that day but hadn't been sent physically yet and that the embassy wouldn't schedule the appointment until they had it in hand physically.

Nicole: So how long will it take for them to get the papers in Syria?

Dumb A$$ NVC Rep: Oh About 8-10 WEEKS!

Nicole: Excuse me??

DA NVC Rep: Yes 8-10 Weeks

Nicole: Ummm Why so long?

DA NVC Rep: Well it has to get through customs....

I couldn't say anything other than thanks for your help and i hung up!

Meanwhile the papers I sent ( and I am not a gov't agency) on Monday got to him on Sunday easily making it through customs!

#######! All i can do is laugh!!

HAHAHA~ that sounds like someone who knows nothing about customs or what NVC does! Thats hilarious that they would give you such a stupid reason for why it was taking so long! Heck a human could probably get through customs in that amount of time!

@Audrey - well it's kinda almost the end of the month so you might not have long to wait if the 8-ball is correct!!! And don't worry about being left behind - I'm not sending my packet 3 back until I get home which is like 29th Feb so I will get the packet out that day or the 1st March - at this rate I will be moving at the same time as you!! I'm not moving until (in my mind) 29th June

Oh - quick other thought - I want to try and get my interview date and medical for the same day - do I just need to wait on getting my interview date back then book my medical then? What are the chances of them not having a slot for me for the medical on the same day?

Oh! Audrey! Check out the spreadsheet - someone else got their NOA2 after an RFE on 1/11/08 That means you must be soon as well!! Theirs took 190 days total You're on 196 so that must mean you will hear back soon!
