Hello everyone,

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place.

my wife has her interview coming up on the 26th of January at the embassy in Tokyo. I’ve read that sometimes they ask for paystubs and sometimes they don’t and I had a question regarding this topic.

back in December I was supposed to start my new job on the 13th with Amazon, delivering packages but didn’t actually start until the 3rd of January only to have them lay off me and a few other drivers. I immediately found another job and start this coming Tuesday for the same pay.

during the time when I was waiting to start work I filed my affidavit of support and attached a copy of a letter of hire from my old job and submitted it.

if my wife goes into the interview with this new letter of hire and my first two paystubs even tho they wouldn’t be 3 months old would that be enough? Or would they not bother asking for them?

I get paid weekly at my new job

Just give them what you have and a explanation.  Things happen and they realize it.

Although there’s no guarantee of what they will or won’t accept.

Thanks for replying,

I’ll get a new letter of hire and get what ever paystubs I get before the interview.

I’ll fill out a new affidavit of support as well to be on the safe side along with the old one so she has both when she goes in.

thank you
