I received this email this morning.  I am a January 2021 filer.  I have noticed that some people ha e recieved their appointments shortly after their petition arrived at the consulate.  I am somewhat disheartened but hope that this is a form letter and we get scheduled soon.      Screenshot_20211109-071038_Word.thumb.jpg.7edc2b75ad7ff5bab39ac552965f3834.jpg

I don't have any inside knowledge, but I'm from the October 2020 group and my fiancee interviewed last week. There are several others from that period that interviewed recently and even some from December and January that have interviewed or have interviews scheduled. Based on this thread, Rio began scheduling interviews again for CR1/IR1 visas back in March. It may just be a template that they fired off back to you.

I believe this is an automatic response to inquiries. I received the same letter after I sent an email asking for an update to my petition. 2 or 3 days after receiving this email, I received the packet 3 email. Good Luck!

We filled out the DS-160 when our application arrived at the consulate. I don't think there's any reason to wait.

did you fill out the last page the ds-160 or get your fiance fill it out? I know that it said that it has to be done by the beneficiary but it would be easier if I did it. I know that it wants my fiance to sign

I was in Brazil at the time and we did it together. You can save and exit the application as much as you want so I imagine you can fill it out and then have her review and sign it, or use something like TeamViewer so that both of you are looking at it together.

Good to know, thank you. We did the application together with a lot of screenshot, but at the end it was her to type in her name and download the pamphlet I can walk her through it over WhatsApp

I'm confirming that the e-mail you just received is an automatic message. I just sent the consulate an e-mail and received that response immediately. I went back through my email and see that exact message was sent when I inquired previously about an interview. For what it's worth, we had our interview scheduled 8 days after we received that email.

I don't believe that you pay anything with the DS-160. Once you get the go-ahead to schedule from the consulate you will pay on the scheduler site.

No worries - and trust me, I know the feeling of not being sure what the government wants. I e-mailed Rio prior to our interview and asked what would be necessary for the I-134. The instructions say a letter from the bank and a letter from your employer. The consulate responded and pointed me to the instructions. I brought a million other documents based on comments from VisaJourney. What did they take? The letter from my employer and my tax transcripts - a document they never requested!

yes it's frustrating knowing what to bring and what not to bring. I have a letter from my employer already and I'm almost done filling out the i-134. Still waiting for that darn email with my interview date for my fiance. GrIpes!
