K1 Photographs for Interview

When I booked my medical the email they sent me added that UK passport photos were also fine, and they were easier to get from any photo booth. The interview however wants I assume the S ones, which I admit I do not know if they are different or not. Does anyone know if a post office may know the size and be able to take them there? 

 

It also states photocopies of all documents, which I can do easily enough, but do they take all original and photocopies - If so, do I get them back at a later date? Sorry if that's a daft question, I couldn't find anything on it.

US passport size is larger (2 in. x 2 in.) and must be used for the interview because it’s your official US visa photo.. Many UK photo booths have a US size option you can choose. You can also take and print your own.There’s a link on that page to the tool to size it properly. The London embassy will only want one photo (despite what their website says). They scan it and hand it back. 

 

Your original civil documents will be taken at the first window (document collector), reviewed by your interviewer (at the second window), and handed back to you before you leave the embassy. They used to keep the photocopies for the file,  but for about three years now they haven’t taken them, even though their website says bring photocopies.
