Slowing us down?

I have been doing a lot of reading on the USCIS website. They are making so that only two centers will process I-129F. Do you guys think that it will slow down the process of those who have filed already?

I have been doing a lot of reading on the USCIS website. They are making so that only two centers will process I-129F. Do you guys think that it will slow down the process of those who have filed already?

It is that way now...only two centers process I-129F petitions....depending on where we live, we send the applications to one of 4 places, but only two California and Vermont actually process the petitions. All petitions received at Nebraska and Texas are mailed to California.

This is nothing new. Been that way for a while now. CSC and VSC do all processing of both I129F and I130.

All they are doing is having us mail directly to Cali if we would have filed at NCS or TSC. Right now we mail to NCS or TCS and they forward it to CSC. Nothing changes process-wise.

Well.................it doesn't really make any difference if it slows things down or not, does it?

I mean, it's not like they give you a choice. This is the way they are gonna do things now, and if you want a visa, you do it their way.

Another question sorta related to this topic. I am pretty new to this - but I know that I29fs and I130's are only processed at VSC and CSC - so when I enter my timeline, even though I sent mine to NSC (and it has since been forwarded) should I enter CSC or NSC to get a more accurate 'guesstimate' of an approval date.

Asking this because I see on the processing times page that they list all 4 service centers and some have considerably different processing times. I want to 'do my part' and help keep our timelines as accurate as they can be....

Right now I have our I130 listed as filing through CSC.
