just got reminded of the deadline for overseas voting registration on sep 30. anyone here has recent experience on registering as overseas voter? regardless of consulate location. would like to hear how hassle/easy it is.

so confused right now whether i need an appt in LA. their latest memo says it has to be done in person via appointment, but their appt system doesnt have an option for voter registration.

Yes. I registered for overseas voting at the embassy in DC last June.

I booked an appointment using the Qless tool on their website. It's the generic appointment tool for consular transactions. There wasn't an option to select overseas voting registration.

The process itself was very easy. I showed up at the embassy, presented a simple registration form and copy of my PH IDs, and did biometrics. I was at the embassy for an hour, and most of that was waiting for my turn. I also had my passport renewal on the same day.
