Hello, I just submitted my I-130 online and received a payment confirmation , no text message. Is this payment confirmation act as the receipt or will they send another email ?

Payment confirmation is not a valid I-797 receipt. You should have received an official I-797 Receipt Notice via email immediately after filing. This notice can also be found and ready to be downloaded in your online account. You will get the same paper notice via snail mail a week later. The information between the online PDF version and paper version is exactly the same except the paper version looks more official looking as it has the header USCIS DHS This Notice Does Not Grant Any Immigration Status or Benefit.

Hello and thank you for replying to me , I checked my online account and saw this notice to download see screenshot, would this be the receipt notice ? It doesn't say I-797 on it . I didn't get anything by email only on my USCIS account

Yes, that’s it! The online PDF receipt does not have any “DHS USCIS; I-797C Receipt Notice of Action; This Notice Does Not Grant Any Immigration Benefit” header. You will get the paper version via mail in about a week. You will attach this receipt notice to your AOS packet if you are going through AOS.

 

Also, congrats! Yours went to Nebraska. They process I-130 very fast.

Thank you , thank you !!! Thats  great news they process fast . I'm still trying to figure this immigration thing out so I appreciate your response. Yes, we file our AOS in a couple of weeks after my medical . Thank you again 💖
