Somebody needs to bury him in cement and drop him in the middle of the ocean...what a schmuck.

I just happened to see him on another infomercial touting a weight loss book and he claimed that he lost 10 pounds in the first 24 hours! This guy reminds me of John Lovitz's, compulsive liar character. He looked and sounded like he was just making it up as he went along.

In September 2004, after having been charged repeatedly with false advertising, infomercial marketer Kevin Trudeau became bound by an FTC consent agreement under which he agreed to pay a $2 million penalty and be banned from appearing in, producing, or disseminating future infomercials that advertise any type of product, service, or program to the public, except for "truthful infomercials for books, newsletters, and other informational publications." An FTC official stated that the ban was "meant to shut down an infomercial empire that has misled American consumers for years."

Around the time that the consent order was signed, Trudeau began flooding the airwaves with a 30-minute infomercial for a book called Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About. Although the infomercial suggested that the book would make specific recommendations for specific problems, it actually did not.

In 2005, probably in response to widespread criticism that his book did not contain what it promised, Trudeau published a second edition that included alleged "natural cures" for more than 50 diseases and conditions. In 2006, he published a third book called More Natural "Cures" Revealed in which he claims to have gotten his inside information from a "secret society" that gave him "health secrets, access to the inner circles of the rich and powerful, and the ability to live a life of luxury." On page 11, he states:

As a member of this secret society I have sat in private meetings with the heads of state from countries around the world. I have attended secret international business meetings where business leaders, politicians, and media moguls coerce together to create the new world order with global control over individual people everywhere. I have been shown and have seen with my own eyes secret government and corporate documents. I have heard with my own ears how BigPharma, the food industry, and the oil industry are working together with governments and media outlets around the world. I have been in over sixty countries, yet there are no stamps of evidence in any of my passports. I have been to Area 51 in Nevada. (This top secret military installation is still denied to exist by the U.S. government.) This is where much of our technology has been developed. Area 51 houses most extraterrestrial artifacts, including a working spacecraft and dead alien bodies. I've seen these things with my own two eyes. As a member of this secret society I was used in covert operations around the world. (what a nucking fut! )

In July 2006, during a Webcast interview, Trudeau said he had sold 6 million copies of his "Natural Cures" books. He also said that he has been marketing since age 15, had made several million dollars before he was 18, and had started over 60 companies in over 60 countries with total worldwide sales of over $3 billion.

Anyone that takes idiots like that seriously - anyone that watches any fcuking infomercial for that matter - can't be helped. Rather than going after morons like this, just educate people in proper utilization of the remote control.

Or, remove the moron-box entirely.

I haven't seen any programs worth watching since "Street Legal" was cancelled. A TV is only suitable to me as a video device for a VCP (no, I don't mean VCR--but now archaic anyway) or DVD-player; for the DVD player, I can achieve the same using a computer with a DVD-burner through its monitor (hey, I can always get a bigger monitor and speakers, right).
