Where do I get form DS-2001 for the Frankfurt Consulate

I've just re-read the isntructions for an immigrant visa at the website of the Frankfurt Consulate and it says there that NVC is going to send the form DS-230 I and the form DS-2001 to the agent (that's me) and that both need to be returned to the NVC. I'm trying to stay ahead of the action by following James's shortcuts, but I cannot find the form DS-2001 on the web that is specific to the Frankfurt Consulate (I can find those for some other Consulates, though). Strangely enough, the Frankfurt Consulate provides links for all other forms, but none for the DS-2001.

Does anybody know where I can locate the form DS-2001 specific to the Frankfurt Consulate, so that I can send it to my wife and have it signed and returned well ahead of time?

Thank you.

Yes, I thought as well that this form would be sent by the Frankfurt Consulate, to be returned to the Consulate before the interview. However, the description on the Consulate's webpages (http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/visaprocessing_nvc.html) says that NVC will send the form and that it needs to be returned to the NVC, with the applicant's signature, and then everything will be forwarded to the Consulate. Is this information incorrect?

to be honest I don't know, because we where dealing with the Consulate in Frankfurt ONLY, we turned in our paperwork there, some send it directly to the Service Centers but it supposed to take longer that way then doing the DCF way.

I found out the Form here in Frankfurt has a different Number it's the OF-169 (checklist) but it's the same Form like DS-2001.

If I where you I contact them by phone or mail, if you are in the states than call the USCIS Info Hotline they should be able to tell you or have the Form send to you, otherwise your wife should call or go by the Consulate in Frankfurt to pick up the Form.

As far as I can tell (I did a VJ search) the DS-2001 is the Applicant Readiness form. It's basically a list of things you have to obtain and check to show you are ready for an interview. If you are doing CR/IR-1 you won't need that one; the consulate will only send you packet 4: the appointment letter.

You can check what else you have to send to the NVC, or obtain for the consulate here:

Well, yes, I know what the DS-2001 is and I had thought it would be handled as you describe it. However, this web page of the US Consulate in Frankfurt, at http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/visaprocessing_nvc.html, says differently. It says that this form is sent out by the NVC and that it has to be returned to the NVC before anything is forwarded to the Consulate.

So my question: Has anyone gone through a CR/IR-1 application at the NVC recently, and how was the DS-2001 handled? I am specifically asking for applications that end up at the Frankfurt Consulate.

Thanks everyone.
