My wife is going for her interview on Wednesday, mine is scheduled after that on 20th August. Any last minute advice? It is employment based GC, I got mine via H1B while she was on H4 (dependent)

  • She is prepared for civic test and reading and writing
  • Based on the letter received we have the following documents ready
    • Our son's birth certificate (original)
    • Marriage certificated (original)
    • Greencard
    • All previous passports ( will they take all previous passports?)
    • Valid ID card from our country of origin
    • Letter of appointment

She is currently employed (she is tax consultant), should she take any other documents other than what I mentioned above ?

Thank you

What ever it says in your appointment letter to bring. If you have anything new that was not submitted in your application (last year’s tax transcript for eg, maybe a traffic ticket). Yes, to all passports. My interviewing officer wanted to see both and then gave them back. I also tagged my passport pages to highlight immigration stamps to correlate with my travel. The officer was grateful for that considering my passport is full of visas and stamps. Good luck
