That's my understanding as well.  I hope it will be different for OP's wife, but best to be prepared for another round of sputum testing.

I am somewhat expecting it even though she was cleared 4 months ago. What really upsets me is that they stamp the medical date as when you first went in for your medical not when you completed it. That's why we are in this mess to begin with. With sputum the medical takes about 9 weeks. Takes another 8 weeks to reschedule interview. Got a 221g at interview. Sent docs requested and 2 weeks to process. Whoops your medical is almost expired, you will need to do it again....

I am running into same thing, but i do not understand why the medical is 6 months but they say we only have until like august to fly out when we was stamped back in march for starting of medical.  My wife was told was you get flagged for a sputum you will always be flagged for it again for each medical you go through no matter what.

After a dozen emails sent and multiple calls she was told that they finally looked at our request July 2nd and to watch for the email for schedule but we are now at the  3 week mark to fly out and still no interview re-scheduled, this is nothing but a money sink so the Phils can keep milking the money and not allowing the spouse to leave.
