Hello all. I am new to this forum and I am happy to be here to share my experience and get positive feed back. I have a question.

I filed for my mother 2/9/2020. On 2/10/2021, I received a RFE about my birth certificate. They could not read it well enough from the uploaded snap shot. I sent an original which they received on 3/3/2021.

No updates after that. I am checking daily. My case is in the Potomac Service center. Can that be the reason for the delay due to the amount of applications they receive ? Should I call USCIS and see what is taking them so long?

I do appreciate the answers.

Thank you.

It won't hurt to try.  But you'll probably be told that the case is still within normal processing time for Potomac -- https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
