DS160 Question for K1

Hi all,

 

My fiance finished filling out and submitted his ds-160. However, he answered "yes" for the question asking if anyone has ever filed a petition with USCIS on his behalf.

He explained that his fiancee (myself) filed the i-129f petition on his behalf. 

 

I saw online that the best answer for this question is no for k1. Would this question cause confusion or hold us up? Would he have to restart based on his answer for this alone?

Too be honest if that holds a case up we’d have never moved forward.

 

I fill out all the paperwork for Nita (then sign that I did so)  I have always answered yes to that question LOL.  Of course a petition was filed.  ?Why else would the visa application be filled out?

 

Your fiance put exactly what I put.  Since we’re all settled here in Texas well I guess that isn’t wrong and we have filled out a LOT of visa applications over the last 15 years

You can change it on the day of the interview if you are compelled to do so
