AP experiences in London embassy as a British Muslim/Pakistani?

Hi, I just wanted to know about other peoples experiences, if any in the London embassy as a British Muslim/Pakistani about processing times and background checks (AP).

I know everyone's case is different and an AP for background checks can take a few days to even years, depending on the country and your case complexity.

For reference, I am a female, British citizen that was born in Pakistan and moved to the UK at a young age with a clean criminal record.

I’m the old-timer in the UK forum on Visa Journey having been around for a dozen years or so. In the past I know that every person in your circumstance would go through AP lasting on average about four weeks. The additional security checks were always applied and those took a bit of time to resolve. In the past several years, I haven’t seen any comments to that effect. I don’t know if everything has slowed down and fewer are commenting. K1s used to dominate the UK forum and they have all but gone silent. Or perhaps technology advancement has allowed checks to go faster. All of those in the past did get their visas without any problem or further effort on their part.

Thank you, a months wait still doesn't seem too bad when you take into account the whole process.

Hoping that's the case or faster for me as well.

Well if you prepare yourself for a possible delay, then you won’t be devastated. They may even say approved and AP is still possible. And if it all goes quickly, you’ll think you won the lottery. Everyone at the embassy in London is very helpful. The interview is very easy and they aren’t looking for ways to fail you. They just have certain procedures to tick off their list before your online visa status changes to “Issued”.
