Hi, I am currently out of country with travel permit, however, I found that my AOS interview was scheduled via USCIS Tracker yesterday. Under current status, I could not find when my actual interview date was scheduled until I received the interview notice mail. (Is this correct you can't view the interview date on the app?)

However, I was told from my friend that you can't enter USCIS facility if you were out of country for 14days before interview date. I couldn't find that information on the USCIS webpage though ( USCIS Response to COVID-19 | USCIS ).

Anyone who received interview notice mail/did conduct the interview recently, please help me if this info that you can't enter the facility if you travel abroad for the last 14 days is still applicable, or they have changed recently.

My current issue is I have an important family event back in my country here on April 1st week, so my return date was booked on April 5th WK. Based on my guess, my interview date will be possibly set on April 12th WK.

I wasn't sure if I need to reschedule the interview or fly back to the us early. please share your knowledge with me. Thanks !

This is what I found on the USCIS site.  I don't see anything about travel, but I would try to get back as soon as you can.

Good Luck!

You may not enter a USCIS facility if you:

  • Have any symptoms of COVID-19, including recently developed cough, fever, difficulty breathing, changes in smell or taste or fatigue (list is not all-inclusive);
  • Have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days;
  • Have been instructed to self-quarantine or self-isolate by a health care provider, public health authority or government agency within the last 14 days; or
  • Are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

Still applicable as of last month (February 2021) - here's the relevant part of the interview letter.
