i-751 processing time question

Hi-We sent in our I-751 application package at the beginning of February with all documents along with a credit card authorization form.  The application package was sent via USPS it was received a couple of days later.  My wife and stepdaughters green cards expired on February 27, 2021.  We sent the application package within the 90 days prior to the cards expiring.  Now it is March and we have not received a response and the credit card has not been charged to at least show USICS has received the package.

I'm not sure what to do just now.  I guess we keep waiting?  Or is there anything else that we should be doing?

Thanks-Scott

USCIS seems to be super backed up for almost everyone. If you look at some of the other forums for January filers, some of them are just getting their NOA's. So yes, there is literally nothing you can do but wait :( Hang in there!

We have to file in about a week and expect to wait a while too, however, look at it this way, at least your wife and stepdaughters are here with you waiting and not in another country!

https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-lockbox-updates

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, an increase in filings, current postal service volume and other external factors, you may experience a delay of four to six weeks in receiving your receipt notice after properly filing an application or petition with a USCIS lockbox. These delays will not affect the receipt date which is determined pursuant to 8 C.F.R. 103.2(a)(7). Delays may vary among form types and lockbox locations.

8 C.F.R. 103.2(a)(7)(i): "USCIS will consider a benefit request received and will record the receipt date as of the actual date of receipt at the location designated for filing such benefit request whether electronically or in paper format."

Do we need to do anything special while we are waiting for removal of conditions on the permanent resident cards?  We do not have a receipt number or case number or anything yet from USICS.  The other troubling factor is I put in a credit card request so USICS could just charge my credit card when they receive the application package.  So far there has not been a charge on the credit card.  I am very worried about this because there is a good chance my credit card number will get skimmed or stolen again.  I had to replace 3 credit cards last year because the cards were skimmed or number stolen somehow.  If my card gets skimmed or number stolen before USICS charges the card I maybe faced with them not being able to charge the credit card.  very troubling

Question about biometrics.  My 11 year old step daughter received a letter stating she does not have to go and do biometrics again for the I-751.  However my wife has not received a letter about doing biometrics again or not having to redo biometrics as part of the I-751 process to remove conditions.   How many people have had to redo biometrics again to remove conditions as part of the I-751 process?

We do not want to miss any appointments with USCIS.  When I check the online account for a status update it just say "we have received your application".  There is not any notes in either my wife's case or my step daughters I-751 case that says anything about the biometrics.

Not really worried but I was kind of expecting to get another letter for my wife stating she either needed or not needed to get biometrics again.

How long passed since you sent i-751 and received the biometric letter?
