Received our NOA1 today in the mail. USCIS received our case Jan. 8th and cashed the check March 4th.

That took about 2 months. At least you finally got it🙌🏾

Hi! I don't know if this group is exclusive to K1 filers, but I would love to join! My husband and I are filing for a CR1 visa. We got married June 2019 and received our NOA2 on May 15, 2020 and since then we've been.......waiting 😑 I'm in Denver and he's in Santiago Rodriguez, and we've been doing long distance since September 2019 with occasional small trips to the DR when I can take the time off work. I'd love to be part of any sort of support group, even if we can only swap limited advice because we are in different processes. It would make me feel a little less alone ❤️

Of course! We have a few CR1 members. I sent you the link in a private message. This process is long and it's great to be able to connect and feel less alone. We'd love to have you and anyone else join. 🙂

Hi Nikki, I also filed the k-1 visa in 2020. Our case was accepted Mid September so we are past 6 months now with no approval or RFE. Getting nervous at this point not for the approval but for how much longer until they reopen the consulate in Santo Domingo to start processing the interviews. I had to finally risk it and book a trip to DR. It had been too long since my fiancé and I have been together. Thank you Rona! Ugh. My fiancé keeps telling me the consulate is open there but everything online and my immigration attorney indicates that they have not reopened. I was told though that k1 interviews will be given priority once they do re-open. Anyways nice to find this support group out there. I don’t have family support so it’s been lonely

Hey! Well if you’re waiting on NOA2, it should be approaching. They’re averaging 6-7 months, depending on where your application is processing. You can check on the link below:

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

& also the Santo Domingo consulate is now slowly but surely, working with cases. They’re setting appointments for many whom were approved in March of 2020, I know about 3 people who received emails today, with appointments for the first week of April. (They had only received the NOA2, hadn’t been able to book)

And on the 2nd of March, they said they were working with cases from March 16, 2020 to April 30, 2020, who they had to cancel cases for. I’m also going to put the link, below!

Finally the beautiful people on this thread, started a support group on WhatsApp, in case you wanted to join!

hope I helped somewhat!

They received my case at NVC on the 26th. How long  is it usually  until they can provide the nvc number? A week or so?
