Greetings!

I'm not updated with the current immigration processing news since trump banned it for a year. I wonder if it's pushing through now?

My last action with my petition to bring my wife and son here in US was in Jan 2021 when I completed submitting all of the required documents for the interview. (Please see the attached).

My petition is nearing 1 year period of our priority date. What's going to happen?

Should I just wait for their notification or should I keep calling them to follow up on my petition?

I've read on the article that the immigration backlog might take years to process. Does that include my case? Should I keep on waiting. I hope to re-unite with my family as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance and have a good day!

The ban is still in effect.  There will be a huge queue of backlogged approved petitions, so you'll be in that queue.

Thank you for the info. This delay affected our plans and I might just go back to my country and stay with my family as we wait. Because this might take like years.

It could.  Just make sure you adhere to the conditions of keeping your green card.

Careful you don’t lose your green card doing that. You may want to investigate getting a re-entry permit before you leave. Will you have a joint sponsor with a US income if you go this route, given you presumably won’t have any to show?

Thank you for reminder. I know the golden rule with green card just don't overstay outside the US for 1 year right? My mom is the joint sponsor during submitting all documents. But now be both lost our jobs due to pandemic and is relying to claims.

Just the loneliness and separation from my family is killing me and i don't want us to grow apart from each other as supposed last year was the estimated date where they come here if there wasn't any problems.

I appreciate your output.
