Question for the interview for I-130 application.

 

My husband was born outside of the United States and received a Consular Birth Abroad form. I have my interview coming up and he cannot find his original form and we may not receive back up in time. Will the US Consulate accept a US passport as proof of status or will be rejected until the Consular Birth Abroad form is received? Or do we even need the form?
