Hey

So with everything going on my husband (us citizen) is looking to see if he can get food stamps. Would this effect my adjustment of status application (interview in 2 weeks)

We have a joint sponsor due to not earning enough but would my husband getting food stamps effect it?

Hi William&Emily,

I am sure times are tough with this pandemic and I hope that uscis realizes that too.. I'm not a specialist or attorney but I feel like that wouldn't make a difference at this point for your adjustment of status. Especially since you filled before the public charge rule was put in place. Also a reason I think it shouldn't affect you is because you are not asking for it but your spouse is (the US citizen) is asking for it.
