We received our NOA's for my son and hubby's AoS (and my son's I-130) I was wondering is anyone else having any problems using their receipt numbers to track via the internet? Our receipts aren't working for all 3 - but the EAD receipt number is working to track that one.

Ran into similar problem, the number on the back of checks were not clear, and had to wait for the actual NOA1 to start tracking.

The numbers printed on the backs of my checks were very clear, however they weren't quite the same as the actual receipt numbers turned out to be. I know you're not asking about numbers on checks though... but I think it can take a few days for the numbers to start showing up in the system. After I found out that my 'real' receipt numbers would likely be the next few in the sequence after the ones that appeared on the checks, I entered the next consecutive numbers into the USCIS site just out of curiosity. For a few days, they came up as invalid... then on the same day I received my NOAs, they magically started working (and did indeed turn out to be my 'real' receipt numbers, as I'd hoped - although I'd already got a nice man on the USCIS misinfo line to confirm them for me!)... so even after NOAs are issued, it seems like the numbers might come up with nothing in the system.

If you do a search on this, you'll find lots of people from a couple of months ago saying they had to wait anything from a couple of days to about a week for the receipt numbers on their NOAs to bring up anything on the online case status site. So... I imagine yours will all work properly sometime in the next few days! :)

(Hope that longwinded reply makes sense!)

Guys, she already has her NOAs, this has nothing to do with numbers on the back of her checks.

To the OP: I don't have any advice for you. Maybe give it a couple of days and try again.

I knew that, and mentioned it in my reply (it was just a kind of by-the-by remark on how the numbers on the checks might not be the right ones even when they're perfectly readable - nothing to do with Leney's question, which I then went on to answer - just me going into a little OT ramble of my own ;) ).

So to make my reply more 'to the point', without the not-very-relevant stuff:

It can take a few days - keep trying, they should start working in the end. :)

The web system notoriously does not recognize receipt numbers for awhile even after people get their NOA's. We had the same problem, just like a bunch of other people. Basically the system is pretty crappy and often unreliable, so I wouldn't worry too much, just keep trying every few days and hopefully things will work themselves out in the system :)
