Heya VisaJourney friends,

First had my I-485 AOS interview cancelled in April due to COVID19, now my interview got cancelled again today - Not sure why it was cancelled I am thinking it's the snow storm but the thing is the snow won't even start to come down for 6+ hours after the interview would have finished. Was supposed to have the interview tomorrow. I know that after the Interview I'd be getting my 2-year Conditional Green Card. What I'm wondering is in June I'll be having my 2 year marriage anniversary with my wife. Will I be eligible to get the 10 year green card instead of doing this 2 year green card instead? Would be better so I don't have to keep "re-preparing" my papers/files for every interview.

Only if I-485 is approved on or after your 2-year marriage anniversary. See INA 216.

Hmm so I'm moving out of NYC when my house is built. Which will move my Field Office, so I'll probably likely have my next "interview" past the 2 year mark. Which in theory should give me the 10 year GC instead of 2 year GC.

The law is very clear; USCIS should* issue 10-year GC in that case: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-d-chapter-2

*If wrong card is issued, then file Form I-90 for free. Select reason D "My existing card has incorrect data because of DHS error."
