Hi,

I am in the process of filling out my N-400 application and unsure what to do with question 23 under part 12.

It asks if you ever been arrested, cities, etc. I had two speeding tickets and a ticket for late out of state tag transfer. All tickets have been dismissed. I have no records of these citations, since it has been years or really any information such as dates.

So now I am wondering what I should mark yes or no.

Thanks for some input from your experience.

If you want to have peace of mind just say yes. If the speeding ticket was less than 500 you don't even have to provide documentation for it. If you mention then you can still.mention it at the time of interview atleast that way they can't hold that against you. Its your choice either way will work.

If your weren't arrested, the answer is NO.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Disagree. The question is very clear: "Have you EVER been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer (including any immigration official or any official of the U.S. armed forces) for any reason?" https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/charged-with-crime-without-being-arrested.html "An alternative procedure to arrests—called “citation”—exists in most states. In place of arresting people for traffic offenses (like speeding) and minor misdemeanors (such as shoplifting), officers can issue citations."

Did not read the "cited" part. Thanks
