Hello everyone,

I checked CBP's website to see my travel history.

This year I crossed the border to Mexico for few hours in a car with some colleagues . I did not have to show any papers leaving US and on returning ( after about 9 hours) I stepped out of the car and entered US with the Conditional GC. The car was not mine. So basically I left US in the morning and I returned back in the evening.

On the CBP website is shows my date of entry but not the date I left US.

If asked, how can I prove that I was gone for only few hours?

Do I have to mention about this trip on the N 400 ?

Thank you!

This normal for a land crossing.

You don;t need to do this.   Just stay in the car and give the GC at entry.

You don't per se.  You can use your pay stubs to show you were still working.  Not having an exit to match an entry to Mexico is pretty normal.  (Canada does keep track and not an issue there).  We cross all the time and my wife has no record of here leaving.  Sometimes just for lunch or dinner. Since this is something we do often we keep a log of her travels for Citizenship time.

You don't have to report visits abroad of less than 24 hours on the N-400.

You can use bank statements before that date, which show you were in the US in the days leading to the departure. I had such a visit to Mexico in 2019 and that's what I brought with me to the interview (but wasn't asked about it anyway).
