i always like to think about when the time comes and i am being judge and they ask how i treated others; that i'd be able to say neither race nor creed nor orientation nor legal status made me think ill of other people. to each his own.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I gotta think these guys are doing right by the Bible in this doctrine. The laws of the land don't trump the major message which is give, give, give until you've got no more to give. Helping your fellow man is one of the most important things you are commanded to do in the Bible. What was the law of the land in Germany regarding protecting Jews from "relocation"?

Were the priests and citizens more wrong for not obeying the law of the land than they were right in helping their fellow man when they disregarded these laws?

On one hand the meek are supposed to inherit the earth, so as long as you aren't starving the Bible tells you not to seek riches, but if these people make it here, I think in a Biblical sense we are supposed to share everything.

The Bible's hard.
