NVC Case Creation Notice

Just received Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation email on 27th August, 2020, which directed me to create an account at the CEAC website and pay the fees and submit documents. After I logged in with my NVC case number and invoice ID number, this is displayed under the Summary Information section of the site:

 

"Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing."

 

The email states to pay fees and submit documents - but the fees and application tab is disabled (greyed out) is this normal? Where do I pay the fees to get the process started?

 

Also I need to add my one year old baby as dependent applicant - should I add him now?

 

Any help would be appreciated!

Based on the Visa Bulletin for Oct 2020, married sons/daughters of US Citizens' current date is 15 June 2008 for India.

 

Your case is not current, unfortunately.

 

NVC created your case 4 years early.  You cannot complete the NVC steps and pay fees until your case becomes current.
