IR5 category visa status changed to refused after Administrative processing plz help

Hi,

My mother case was in Ap since last year November, then its changed to refused from march with long text indicated that case is in AP. Yesterday case status updated and visa status still says refused but with short text indicated visa application has been refused and see the letter received at the interview time. what does that mean ? Does anyone have same situation? Plz help !!!.

IR5 visa category is banned until end of 2020 (assuming the ban is not extended).  As such, cases under that category that have completed interview and background checks will have status "Refused".  There is nothing you can do but wait until the ban is lifted.

It means she is in AP,  that is what the letter she received at the interview says, yes?

Actually the letter she received at the time of interview it doesn't indicate that her case was going to Ap. Consular only ask to submit additional pics with my mother, which we did right after interview. But afterwards her status changed to Ap then refused from March 3rd. Now refused but doesn't mention that case is in AP.

Same thing, if she had to provide anything additional before a decision could be made that is AP.

Hi everyone biden has removed the banned from IR5 visa category yesterday, so after all that time i wasn't not checking the status of my mother application, so yesterday i just login to ceca website and saw that they reopen the DS260 in the document section. Which means they asked for resubmit the DS260, which i did. Has anyone had the same situation ? What does that mean ? What will be the next step. Please share your experiences. Thanks

I’m assuming the original DS260 was submitted over a year ago? They need a new one if that’s the case.

Has anyone got any update from embassy at IR5 visa category. Is embassy is moving forward?
