So i just checked the status of my aos i485 and it says the interview was scheduled. No more info.  Do they send the exact date in the mail? And typically how many months is it untill the interview? A month, a few months, ?

Unsure what to do to prepare

They will send you the letter in the mail. Most of times, interview are scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance.

The forum has tons of cases you can search to get ready. The letter will also say what to take to the interview.

My status updated to the same as yours back on March 6th and we are still waiting. It can take many months even under the best of circumstances, and with COVID I would expect a lengthy delay unfortunately.
