The wife of the OP of that thread has decided to instead go to Warsaw airport. An alternative is to go to Dublin or Shannon, Ireland where there is CBP Preclearance.

That thread is about a Czech citizen wanting to travel to the US (and back) on ESTA. I am currently in the US waiting for my AOS interview and have a EAD/AP combocard. Seems a different situation, or am I missing sth?

"Life is a journey." At this moment, it's taking me to the USA to the woman I love.

The point is about the airline boarding procedures at that airport. But it could also be that the OP of that thread is misinformed about said procedures.

The thread says before traveling to US one needs clearance of the US Embassy in Prague?

I looked up https://www.mzv.cz/washington/en/consular_information/coronavirus_the_czech_government_has.html

If in doubt, can always travel to CBP Preclearance in Dublin or Shannon, Ireland: https://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/operations/preclearance "Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance is the strategic stationing of CBP personnel at designated foreign airports to inspect travelers prior to boarding U.S.-bound flights. With Preclearance, travelers then bypass CBP and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspections upon U.S. arrival and proceed directly to their connecting flight or destination."

Hi guys,

I have recently received my combocard and have been thinking about a trip to the Czech republic to visit my family. These are difficult times and while there is no family emergency (luckily!), I miss my family and want to make use of my AP to visit them.

Since I'm a Czech citizen, I should be allowed to enter the country and I found out that in my home country I'll need to take a COVID test within 72 hours of arrival, which is not a problem.

My question is how about returning to the USA? Will I need to quarantine or take a test after returning? Does anybody have a recent experience?

And also, is my USC spouse allowed to accompany me?

I am a Czech also, visited Czech in September. As for your return journey you will need to be cleared by US Embassy to be able to board a plane in Prague. Reconsider Prague, reconsider Czech Republic. I just came back to US from Czech through Warshaw on Oct. 1. Also, there is a state of emergency in Czech as of this Monday and government has extra powers to make your life a pure misery. I am glad to be gone from there.Upon arrival to the USA you don't need to do a test, you will get a pamphlet with common recommendations, nothing else. No temperature check or questioning about symptoms or exposure.
