You were approved for a visa last week. What did your wife need in regards to the CEMAR?

CEMAR was needed for both of us even though I have never lived in the Philippines. She got it in person a few days prior to.

Hello,

My wife has her interview in 2 weeks. I'm a US born citizen having never lived in the Philippines. She currently has her CEMAR. Do I need a CEMAR as well for her to bring with to the embassy?

Thanks

Hi. I just had my interview this morning. I have my CEMAR but wasnt able to get for my husband. My husband is a US born citizen as well. They asked for my husband’s Cemar during the interview. I wasnt able to provide any but my visa was still approved. 👍🏻

Thanks for the update. The CEMAR for the US citizen is not needed. There must be a newbie officer that does not understand the requirements set by the Department of State. I've personally message half a dozen of members here and they were only asked for the beneficiary's CEMAR. The US citizen is not applying for a visa and does not need to supply a CEMAR.
