Hi,

Just want to ask if anyone experience this?

I had AOS EB3 schedule interview March 9, 2020. I came for the interview. It was between 30-40minutes.

I received NOA at a later date that the schedule for interview on March 9, 20220 has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.

I have not heard from USCIS since. I initially thought it was a mistake or a generic letter.

I called USCIS for infopass and officer said I need to talk to higher tier officer as that is strange.

Thanks

The officer is right in asking you to speak with a tier 2 officer(they are the real immigration officers with better knowledge of your specific case). Since you already had an interview, I would suggest you call if you haven't done so to confirm your case.

@Sweetadams thanks, I did, 2x. Looks like they are confused too. The last officer created an enquiry for me. The 1st one ask me to send a letter directly to the field office. Thanks.

I think you should ask the tier 2 officer for an info pass to your field office. It is better if they will let you go in person and speak with the field office. It's getting confusing everyday with USCIS, my minor daughter had her AOS interview on wednesday, instead I was the one being drilled for her interview and the interviewer still did not approve on the spot. Said he was going to review it.

For family you will have lesser issue. Once the officer double check everything and visa is available,  he can immediately request a visa number from DOS for your daughter and approve it st the field office. For me employment based, with retrogression our case after the field office get sent to NBC until our Visa is current. I am at lost now how to follow it up. The field office emailed me to update me my file is at NBC . They put a query for me for NBC to see if I can have a decision put innit I have current priority date.

There are a lot of glitches in the system, it's getting better but still it happens. Keep track of your calls (time and date) and who you spoke with, also keep a record of emails and other correspondence. You correctly did not assume it was glitch and contacted them about it. Now just wait and see what happens with these inquiries and follow up once in a while.

To give you a fun example of a glitch I had on my journey. My combo card was never approved. I got my conditional green card in 3 months so I never needed it. My online file showed both EAD and AP as being denied due to benefits gained from the green card. Than after about a year the AP became active again. It went through al sorts of updates every single time my file was moved or touched. Last time I checked, a few months ago, it showed pending again while my N400 showed, attended ceremony, certificate issued.

Also very really where the notifications on Myuscis and egov accounts in sync. one would say interview scheduled while the other would state petition received.
