Changing interview countries - anyone done it recently?

Hi everyone!

I was hoping that someone who succesfully changed their interview country would be able to help with this. (If you haven't but know the answers, I'd appreciate that too!)

We currently want to switch to a country where the beneficiary has been living for the past the couple of months, and where she currently holds a permanent residence. They just resumed interviews today!!!!

I just had a few questions that I was hoping you would be able to help me with! The NVC isn't really answering the phone right now....

1) Did you have to update your DS-260 form as well stating that you were (living) in a new location? OR did you just send them an inquiry with the proof of residence?

2) What documents did you send along with your inquiry? She has a permanent residence in the the new country, but I was wondering what else we might need to send with it? Rental invoice is enough?

3) Can you share what your email looked like? I want to send something that worked in the past 😀.

Thank you so much for your help!

I am in the same boat as you. I am requesting a change to my husband's country of birth Cameroon. I posted on the NVC forum and hoping someone gives us a feedback

This is the template I used last year to successfully make the request on the NVC Inquiry portal. I uploaded all evidence showing that the beneficiary had resident status in the new country and was currently living there. I would err on the side of uploading too much evidence that shows residency in the country.

Thanks. I called and was told to submit with my husband's birth certificate to prove his nationality. The format used is similar to what you sent

Please make sure to include phone number and new address in the request. I got denied twice because I was missing the "Phone number".

Thanks! The first request I had sent was approved and I submitted with no supporting docs. Just stated that I wish his interview location is change to his country of changeability, and that request was granted.
