Medical Extension

Hello!  Has anyone been able to successfully get the one month medical extension from the embassy in London? (Or even some information on how to get the extension?!)  I can only get the generic email from the embassy telling me to look at their FAQs - which haven't been updated since the extension was announced and so don't cover this at all.  We tried the Dept of State, and were told we needed to contact the embassy.

Make a timeline. Where’s your case? Have you had a medical?

Sounds like it depends on if you already have your visa, or an interview appointment.
