Re-submitting AOS for stepchildren

Last month we submitted a packet for marriage based AOS from a tourist VISA. My wife's application was accepted but her kids were rejected due to a possible error on their 485s.

We are going to re-submit as soon as we put the packet together but we have a question.

Since we submitted the children as part of a packet with their mom as the principal beneficiary, how do we re-submit the children's application in order to show that they are part of the original application? Or it doesn't matter?

We were thinking about including their mother's 797c and their original rejection 797 to show that we are re-submitting.

Is this a good idea?

Thanks.

Are you a US Citizen?

Yes. Why?

Because they are not beneficiaries on their mother's petition.

I'm aware of that. They are my beneficiaries by way of her marriage with me. My question is, do I have to include her NOAs and their rejection letters to show that they were part of a packet which included her mother?
