His vaca is really short - only like 5 days. Persoanlly, I'd wait until he returns. Cos if it doesn't work for him, he'll only be more depressed. Just MHO, of course.

Hi all! Well it seems like its been slow today but are you calling? Pete? Mirla? Anything? I hope Byron comes back and gives us good news! Tehy need to appove April & May already!!!

I just called the NVC and my case went off to the embassy... they also gave me a new case # (as Zee said they would). My question is can I use this # to track when the consulate receives? Meaning does the web have a feature where you enter your new Case # and get answers. Just wondering. Not that it helped much when I entered my case on the uscis site! ok, still bitter... sorry

Perhaps, I should search these answers on another thread but I dont want to leave you guys

I'm not sure about tracking your case online once it has left NVC. Once it leaves you are in the embassy's hands.

You may want to see if the embassy has a system set up where you can track it online.

Thanks Zee... I just wondered how people obtained the "consulate received date" thats why I thought you could track it. Again, thanks for all you help. And best of luck on you tentative plans I am too afraid to make any plans myself.

APPROVED!!!!! The young lady who place me on hold came back to tell me she would transfer me to an officer. I spoke to the officer who ASKED for my case # and put me on hold again. She came back to verify my address and tell me I should be receiving something in the mail... I was approved on Oct. 15th. I told her I rec'd no email she said they were really busy. That must have been the reason for the touch on Oct. 16!!!

MIRLA YOU MUST CALL AND IT SEEMS THE INSTRUCTIONS I REC'D ABOUT CALLING FOR A REFERRAL WORKED BETTER THEN THE RFE... I GOT AN OFFICER ON THE LINE.

Ok, I originally called using the RFE trick... then the lady asked, "when did you send application", i said "back in may" she said, "Oh, before July?", I said, "yes" she said, "you should call back the 800# press 1 for english, then 2,2,6,2 then instead of putting your case # press 4.. this will send you to request a referal for your status they will then send Vermont an email." Well I did as she said, I plugged in the #s got a live person (after being on hold) I told her I was concerned because I had not heard anything and wanted to check on the status of my petition. She said, "hold on I will transfer you to an officer" I waited, the officer asked for my case #, confirmed address and told be i should receive something shortly since i was approved 10/15"

I just called USCIS first she told me since I filed befor July I need a referal, call the same number and enter #4 instead EAC #, I did that and the lady told me since I am within the time frame of 6 months I should here some thing by December. Same old #######
