Hello, any idea how long it takes for I-765 application status to update from 'Approved' to 'Card has been mailed?'

My status updated to approved more than 2 weeks back and I haven't received the card so far.

Just curious, Was biometric done in USA? I applied for green card during lockdown. Wondering what are the chances of them using biometrics from K1 (taken at embassy), if any! Me and wife have plans to travel in November, so important to received travel permit by then.

Biometric was done in the USA in February.

I was lucky to have it get done before lockdown started.

Those approved up until 6/25 have been shipped it seems.

Source: https://opttimeline.com go to bottom and click on "Shipping Status"

Even though this is for OPT category it still helps since cards are printed at same location.

Worth saying that when I went from F-1 to OPT I did not have to do any additional biometrics (granted this was back in 2014, so not sure if anything has changed and my F-1 biometrics would have been about ~20 months old at that point).

A magical mystery tour of many US visas prior to AOS... (J-1, F-1, H-1B)

After 21 days, EAD card finally mailed to me!

https://opttimeline.com is very accurate as to when you can expect your EAD card to be mailed.

@jcracked52 Thanks for that info! Can I ask–is this an OPT-based EAD card, or an I-485-based EAD card? And, did they take your biometrics?

They don't send cards if you don't have biometrics done

Yeah, that is what I thought, but after asking USCIS to confirm this, they've told me that I just have to wait out the 60 days because if my card says approved, then it is definitely getting sent to production. I'm not sure that's accurate though...

What I'm afraid of now is that my EAD card is stuck in a loop where it's approved hence I'm not being scheduled for biometrics, but unless I am scheduled for biometrics, they won't actually produce my card.

Can this website be used for I-485 forms? I could only see receipt numbers starting with YSC and not MSC

I485 based EAD card but you can look at OPT site to get an idea of timeline when your card gets mailed because it gets produced at same location. My biometrics were done in December.
