Hiring attorney worth it?

Not unless you are not able to organize a petition yourself. That is pretty much what you are paying for. I would rather be in control of what is being submitted rather than relying on someone else.

I did the whole process myself from K-1 all the way through citizenship. Not difficult if you can fill out forms correctly and organize some documents. As others have said, you should only need an attorney is there are complications with your case, or if you have money to burn in exchange for some peace of mind. Just remember and attorney (or any other service) can actually slow your case down a bit because it's another layer added to the whole process.

My opinion it is not worth it unless you have some extenuation circumstances. All the information you need is found right here on this website.
