I like the idea of Bloomberg running as an independant. He will split the dem vote.

Nah, he'll never make it that far.

What makes you say that? He doesn't need to compete with anyone over a party nomination. He's got the money to run and there are certainly enough people in the center that aren't particularly happy with either party. All he needs to run is the will.

As for splitting the dem vote: He'd split votes on both sides - more or less on either depending on who's going to be running. Which may very well tip FL and OH, for example, to the dems. It would make the race a heck of a lot more interesting. That's for sure.

Ohio will not go Rep again, I don't think (former Ohioan).

He bought his way into NYC, I'm sure he could try for 2008 as well. He is an unhappy unpersonable wanker tho, doubt he'll get any votes on personality.

Since he was a lifelong dem and only changed to a RINO to get the NY mayor nomination I don't know of to many reps that will vote for him. I bet he diverts a lot more dem votes than rep votes. With things as close as they have been every vote counts. I think he will be the dems Ross Perot.

But your right, it will be very interesting next year!
