Income is not enough error!!

Hi, I received a message from NVC today saying:" ToraBora does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted. I think this is an error as my income for this year should be around 38k, and 2019 tax return gross income is 24k which is highrer than the 125% of HHS Poverty ($21,550 for 2 household members)

 

Should I start looking for a sponsor or am I good, as I can provide more pay stubs to the CO? Thank you.

What exactly was provided alongside the I-864 (in terms of the tax return(s) + evidence of current income)?

2019 tax return + W2's for 2019 and paystubs for the last 4 months

If you exceed the requirements, you don’t need to worry about it. Provided updated information during interview
