221G: What it is? How was it resolve

Refusal under 221(g) is for a very, very broad set of circumstances. It's by far the most common INA section for an immigrant visa refusal (or K visas).

It could be due to missing documents.

It could be due to verification of documents.

It could be due to additional background checks needing to be completed.

It could be due to an invalid petition (which itself could be due to several factors).

There are at least a few other possible causes.

 

Each cause for the 221(g) has a different resolution. Sometimes there is no action needed by the applicant.

Most likely it was a document either too old, wrong form submitted or lacking a document to complete the visa processing. There are so many reasons, too many to list here. The 221(g) is resolved by submitting exactly what is asked for in the request. Most who answer the 221(g) will go onto having their visa approved and issued.
