did anyone filed your i601 by yoursefl? or you all had a lawyer do it? can my case be approved if i didnt have a lawyer do it?

i had an interview in may 2019, got an evidence request for i601 in august. i tried to find a lawyer to do it but non of them wanted to take my case so i had to did it myself and sent it in sep 2019

my receive date is 09/2019 and still havent heard anything yet

Timeline

Waivers can be very complicated depending on the circumstances.  I have seen very few cases of people completing an I601 by themselves, and you have to ask yourself why a lawyer consulted would not take this sort of case.

Timeline

I have seen many people filled the I-601 waiver on they on and be successful. There is a I-601 group on Facebook that can provide you with many tools. Best of luck!

I agree with the other posters. I've seen some people file pro se (by themselves), but the general consensus is that your success rate will be higher if you use a lawyer who has experience with 601 waivers.

 

Also, given that the USCIS fees for I-601s are so high, it's best to do it right the first time.
