extend CR-1 visa entry date?

Hi,

I sponsored my wife's CR-1 Visa and it was approved. Our deadline to enter the US is April 11th.

We are currently in South Korea.
We have all our flights booked but we're seriously reconsidering with all the corona virus situation.

Like many people on here I'm sure, I'm wondering if we should go now or try to apply for the Visa again.

I'm sure we would have to at least do the medical examination again and pay the fee for that, and I'm not sure what else.

Is anyone else in the same situation? What is your plan or do you have any advice?

Thank you for any help.

We were in the same situation. We decided to come here to avoid the hassle of repeating the process.

We are flying with Korean Air operated by Delta.

Ah.  Well, they seem to be running a reliable set of flights from SEA to ICN right now, it's one of the few flights Delta hasn't cut, so hopefully they'll get ya there soon.

Visas cannot be extended.  However, Consulates are allowed, by law (at their discretion), to re-issue visas if the holder could not travel before expiration.  This will require a new medical, fees, and possibly other documents.
