I submitted RFE on 2/20 and USCIS received on 2/24. It has been 3 weeks already and still no updates. I would like to know if there is anybody submitted in Jan or February and got NOA2. So I can figure out the time frame recently with California center

That can be answered. Go to the top of this page and select the tab "immigration timelines" and you can search for exactly what you are looking for.

It's not unusual for it to take 2-4 weeks for your RFE to be touched again sometimes longer. So, in my experience you are moving along at a normal pace.

thanks for you answer. the immigration timeline doesn't show if anybody got RFE around Jan/2020. So i can't find the answer there.

i saw some people got NOA2 around 10 days after USCIS received their RFE. I am wondering why i still didn't get answer after 3 weeks pasted by. feel sad

Because every RFE can be different. Every person is different. Every embassy is different. Every person has a different background. Every person comes from a different culture. Every embassy does not process the same as others. Every person's nationality is different. So double that for the petitioner or the beneficiary and the answer is it just takes time.

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process

  • "the man with the gold makes the rules" and
  • it will take as long as it will take
  • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
  • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
  • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey
