Hi guys,

Looking for some suggestions with K1 holders going through AOS:

I've entered the US as a K1 visa holder and got all the application sent out before Feb 24. Since I wanted to open a bank account and a drivers license, I applied for SSN before sending out my AOS document, I researched and it usually takes about 2 weeks, so I sent out immediately once I received my marriage certificate at the end of Jan. Here's my timeline:

1/19/2020 Married

1/31/2020 Applied for SSN

2/19/2020 Sent out AOS documents, I-485, I-765, I-131

3/16/2020 Social security office said application lost and file again?

Today I called in my local office and they couldn't find my case#, or by name or by date of birth....the whole thing just vanished! (HOW?!) The social security office suggested me to just reapply the whole thing.

So I was wondering if I should just wait with my I-765 now or should I try to reapply again? It's just really inconvenient without a SSN..

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Your i94 is beyond the 75 days from entry, likely ineligible to refile.

YMMV
