I184 or I134 for K1 visa interview?

Hi everyone,

I am confused. My fiancé will have his interview in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in May. I'm trying to gather all the documents he will need and I am confused on which affidavit form to fill out. He just received his interview confirmation email which says that he should bring an affidavit of support form I-184, Federal tax returns, W2s and job letter. However, on K1 visa process (travel.state.gov) it says evidence of financial support MAY BE requested and to fill out form I134 (either way I was planning on sending a signed affidavit form just in case it is requested). From my understanding, the I-184 is filled out after marriage for adjustment of status.

I864 (not 184) is for adjustment of status.   I134 is consulate interview , if required
