Hi, I just filed my 129-F Application for Fiance Visa to the Vermont Service Center. My fiance and I are new to this whole process and I was looking for any feedback, suggestions, tips. My fiance is from Egypt and we plan to be married here in the US so we filed the 129F process. I have reviewed the general outline and procedure but as with anything new its still a bit foreign to me. I was looking for some feedback from others who have been through this process and to give any more specifics. It sounds like I may or may not be requested for an interview. And once the application is processed, sent to the visa center and then makes it to the embassy in Cairo that he will be asked for an interview. Any suggestions of what information is being gathered during this interview? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Melinda

Welcome Melinda,

I too am pretty new and can honestly tell you this site is very helpful. Not just for the information but to be a part of a group that's in the same boat as you are. It helps dealing with the frustation of being apart from your loved one. Just click around and read the forums, the GUIDE is very helpful. I only wish I knew about this site prior to filing my I-129F, there is some valuable information about how to put the I-129F packet together in the GUIDE.

Thank you all so much for your feedback, it is so helpful. And it is nice to be among people that are going through the same experience, it has certainly brightened my outlook!
