Hi VisaJourney Family,

I had a lawyer review all my request for evidence documentation specifically(proof of relationship and proof that he is not in a civil union). The lawyer stated it was good to send. It has been 40 days since I sent in all the information? Should I be concerned ? How can check status of if they need anything additional or approval or denial? What would you do?

To answer your last question I would do nothing and here is why.

It sometimes takes 3-12 months depending on a number of variables. Remember, each of you has a different background. Each has a different culture. Each come from a different country. Each may have traveled extensively to many countries. So it is impossible to say how long and be certain of that answer. You are not out of the normal processing times as stated by USCIS unless you have waited more then 7 Use the link below for many tools to use during this process.

Join us in this thread for those who are processing along the same timeline as yours.
