Do you pay for Medical Exam at the time of the medical exam?

Hello all I'm very confused about this. Does the applicant pay at the time of the Medical exam for DCF? Does the payment have to be from a US check or can it be from a foreign debit card or cash? Are they just paying for it at the doctors office? Does anyone know exactly how expensive it is? Has anyone had any experiences with the Stockholm approved physicians offices? I'm confused why some people report its expensive and some say its free very confusing. Thanks so much.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I don't have any experience with Stockholm, so I can't help with specifics, but in Frankfurt Germany we paid right then in Euros for the doctor exam, and then received a bill in the mail a few days later for the lab work, which we paid through bank transfer (with our German account). I hope that helps.

Hello!! I know it's been a few years, but I'm going through the same right now in Frankfurt, and I don't know if after paying that extra bill for the lab, I should expect anything from them (a confirmation or something) thanks!!
